This is more than DOUBLE the 2019 Amazon Rainforest Fires.
Over half a Billion animals have already lost their lives from the fires. The animals who are surviving are severely injured. Tens of thousands of others are trapped, evacuated and either without or running out of water, food and other resources.
Moreover, 350 MILLION METRIC TONS of CO2 have been emitted due to these fires, and have made the air smothering Sydney and Canberra 11 times more hazardous than the hazardous levels for human health, this smoke is and has been killing people.
